hi, I’m Mere.
I’m a therapist, YouTuber, author of four books, and creator of SoulSync. I wrote Hey Addiction, Thanks for Nothing: A Brutally Honest Guide to Loving an Addict Without Losing Your Mind and the latest release, The Plan B Chronicles: Divorce. Defiance. Liberation. I also write the Mend with Mere therapy-informed astrology guides to healing through the music you already love (Taylor Swift & Lana Del Rey are available now). I’m an unapologetic truth-teller who connects like your best friend, but with a DSM-5 in one hand and a torch in the other.
I write and speak about what breaks us, what rebuilds us, and what no one wants to say out loud—but should. My work centers the often-overlooked loved ones of people with addiction. If that’s you, and you’re navigating divorce, loss, or a major life transition, you can work with me here.
Over on my YouTube channel, Mend with Mere, I explore the emotional undercurrents of music—especially lyric-driven artists—blending psychology, storytelling, and song analysis in a way that helps us make sense of our inner lives (and occasionally cry in a good way). I also share more personal and behind-the-scenes content on Patreon.
That work is the reason I built SoulSync, a daily mental health app that connects to your Spotify and gives you a daily song, a place to write, and a coach that's awake when your therapist isn't. It's built on thirteen years of clinical work and one plain fact: most people who need support can't get it fast enough, or at all. Deep feelers don't need to be told to feel more. We need language for what's happening underneath.
I’ve spoken nationally on divorce, grief, single parenthood, mental health, supporting the often-overlooked loved ones of addicts, and my work has been featured in People, Real Simple, Yahoo!,The Huffington Post, BuzzFeed, and Colman McCarthy’s Teaching Peace.
This site is home to my words, my work, and the messy, meaningful stories we’re not afraid to tell anymore.
